BIT Sindri Update
- GB Meeting
Shortage of teachers in BIT Sindri is proposed to be removed through contract appointment as an
alternative arrangement. Newspaper reports indicate that such a proposal is likely to be approved by
the Governing Body in its meeting in Bokaro on 11th January, 2008. Agenda of the meeting includes
salary and appointment of contract teachers, reorganization of staff structure, appointment of class III
and IV grade staff etc.
The newly constituted Governing Body of BIT Sindri consists of:

Director, Science & Technology
Director, XLRI, Jamshedpur

Director, BIT Sindri

Dr.S.K.Singh, Director, BIT Sindri has further said that several other important decisions are likely to
be taken in the GB meeting. These developments are aimed at making BIT Sindri autonomous and
