BJNS: Garhwa, February 13, 2011: Four villagers of Ajaniya under Bhawnathpur police station were kidnapped allegedly by CPI(M) extremists following a dispute over land on Sunday morning.

The kidnapped villagers have identified as Makahan Yadav, Dhaneshwer Yadav, Sheo Kumar Yadav and Jeetan Kumar Yadav all belonging to a family.

A few villagers have been detained and are being interrogated by police to know the whereabouts of the abducted villagers.

The two brothers Santosh Yadav and kidnapped Makhan Yadav were engaged in a long-standing dispute over a piece of land in the village . "In order to put pressure on the Yadavs to sell their land, the four of the family were abducted.," said Garhwa district police chief Richard Lakara.

The Abducted villagers were at their houses when a group of armed Maoists pulled out the four and took them away.
