Extremists kidnap four villagers in Garhwa

BJNS: Garhwa, February 13, 2011: Four villagers of Ajaniya under Bhawnathpur police station were kidnapped
allegedly by CPI(M) extremists following a dispute over land on Sunday morning.
The kidnapped villagers have identified as Makahan Yadav, Dhaneshwer Yadav,
Sheo Kumar Yadav and Jeetan Kumar Yadav all belonging to a family.
A few villagers have been detained and are being interrogated by police to
know the whereabouts of the abducted villagers.
The two brothers Santosh Yadav and kidnapped Makhan Yadav were engaged in a
long-standing dispute over a piece of land in the village . "In order to put
pressure on the Yadavs to sell their land, the four of the family were
abducted.," said Garhwa district police chief Richard Lakara.
The Abducted villagers were at their houses when a group of armed Maoists
pulled out the four and took them away.
A police team is camping on the village and routes around the area have been
sealed.
