Lauki Paratha


Atta (wheat flour) - 300 gm
Besan (gram flour) - 100 gm
Lauki (kaddu) - 200 gm (grated)
Ginger Paste - 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Ajwain - 1 tsp
Achar Ka Masala - 3 tsp
Onion (small) - 1 (finely chopped)
Green Chilli - 2 (finely chopped)
Dhaniya Patta - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Cooking Oil - As required
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation

1. Mix atta, besan, 3 tbsp oil and all other ingredients together. Mix well.
2. Knead into a hard dough with water*.
3. Divide into 12 loyias and roll out round parathas.
4. Cook parathas on hot tawa using little oil on medium heat.
5. Serve hot with Dahi, Achar.

Notes & Tips

* You can also squeeze grated lauki, take out the juice and use it for kneading instead of water.
