Aaloo Tamatar


Aaloo (potato) - 250 gm
Tomato - 2 (medium size, chopped)
Methi Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli (sabut) - 1 or 2
Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste

Method of Preparation

1. Peel and cut aaloo in small pieces. Wash and drain water.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
3. Add methi seeds and red chilli.
4. When methi and red chilli turn colour, add aaloo, tomato, haldi, and salt.
5. Stir for a while and add 2 cups of water.
6. Pressure cook and serve with roti, paratha or puri.
