Lakhto (Jhilli)

Besan (gram flour) - 250 gm
Gud (jaggery) - 350 gm
Dalda/Cooking Oil - 200 gm

Method of Preparation

1. Knead besan to a hard dough with water.
2. Hand roll dough into 1 to 1.5 cm dia rods.
3. Fry in hot oil till brown.
4. Melt gud in a kedahi with about 75 ml of water to make gud-syrup.
5. Add fried lakhto in the gud-syrup and mix till the syrup dries up.
